“Thank you for supporting Boys & Girls Club…”

…Those were the first words written in a card we received from 8 year-old Aidan. This child stole our hearts as we read through his heart warming note of gratitude. To us, this was simply a sponsorship and way to give back to The Boys & Girls Club of the Foothills, an organization we’ve partnered with for many years, turned into something a bit deeper for us. We found ourselves a bit teary eyed to hear of the impact it had. This young man took the time to share how much he enjoyed participating in the Monrovia Old Town Derby last month; where he was a driver in the Roncelli Plastics soap box car, competing in the race.

The fundraiser was held in the local community to raise funds for the Boys & Girls club to continue their efforts to inspire, encourage, equip and mentor youth. There was a great show of support with 32 companies sponsoring the cause, all with their uniquely designed soap box cars this past September.  The race cars were driven by students in the area, to bring a little thrill and excitement to their lives.
